Figures

Reference pages for the numbers Mindiam reports on. Each one states a single measurement, shows how it is derived, names its sources and takes no position.

How these pages work

  • One measurement each. A figure page answers a single question and shows the arithmetic, so the number can be checked against the source rather than taken on trust.
  • Sources are first-hand. Every figure is traced to the agency release that published it, with the reference period and any filter or exclusion stated.
  • Revisions are dated, never overwritten. When a new release lands the page is updated and the change is logged, so a citation made against an earlier period stays traceable.
  • No position is taken. Mindiam publishes opinion on these subjects in AI & the National Interest. These pages are the measurement the argument refers to, and are written to be usable by anyone, including people who disagree with the argument.
